The Value Reporting Foundation – The Merger of IIRC and SASB
Published 6 July 2021
Category: Impact and ESG
The International Integrated Reporting Council (IIRC) and the Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB) has merged to form the Value Reporting Foundation.
By more closely aligning the IIRC and the SASB Standards, the Value Reporting Foundation, the aim is to make it easier for companies to communicate their long-term strategy and to provide a comprehensive suite of resources designed to help businesses and investors develop a shared understanding of enterprise value—how it is created, preserved or eroded over time.
The aim is further to accelerate the progress towards a global, standardized, comparable and comprehensive corporate reporting system and to enable companies to take climate and human capital better into account and, thus, improving environmental, economic and social outcomes.
