In 2023 year to date, European startups have raised USD 10.6 billion, which is a fall of 18% quarter over quarter and 66% year over year. This fits the general market tendencies, whereas the global funding market is down 53% year over year.
On the bright side is, however, that early-stage funding saw the lowest drop of “only” 7% quarter over quarter, thus pre-seed stage companies seeing more stability than the general market.
