After a record-breaking 2021, a new report from Denmark’s Export & Investment Fund shows that the Danish venture market experienced a drop in 2022. The amount invested into Danish companies fell from DKK 14 billion in 2021 to DKK 7 billion in 2022, and the number of investments fell by 20% in the same period.

However, 2022 still outperformed the years leading up to 2021 by a large margin. Furthermore, companies focusing on sustainability defied the general slowdown in the market and received DKK 1,5 billion in investments, compared to DKK 800m in 2021.
