The last three years has seen a significant increase in the number of Danish AIFMs from 95 in Q1 2016 to 170 in Q2 2019. This increase is mainly driven by an increase in the number of registered AIFMs from 55 in Q1 2016 to 122 in Q2 2019. While the number of AIFMs with authorization has also increased, this increase is less significant – from 36 in Q1 2016 to 48 in Q2 2019:

During the same period, the number of Danish AIFMs disappearing from the market has remained at a consistently low level:

During the last three years, also the number of Danish AIFs has increased in numbers – from 220 in Q1 2016 to 458 in Q2 2019.

The increase in Danish AIFs exceeds the increase in the number of new AIFMs, which has led to an increase in the average number of AIFs under management per AIFM. While the average Danish AIFM had 2.4 Danish AIFs under management in Q1 2016, this number has increased to 2.7 in Q2 2019.
